Calvary Colony
Located on 140 acres of beautiful land near Shelby Forest, Calvary Colony is where men complete the remaining portion of Memphis Union Mission’s Iron-On-Iron program.

This portion of the program, which typically lasts six months, provides our clients with training in decision-making, work ethic, money management, and other practical subjects. The program at Calvary Colony also encourages clients' devotional lives in
an environment that is conducive to quiet reflection and personal time with the Lord.

Work ethic is instilled through chores like cooking, laundry or maintenance. And spiritual guidance is provided through pastoral counsel and Bible study. The men also receive practical assistance with literacy skills and GED preparation.

After men graduate from the program at Calvary Colony, they are eligible to move into the Wright Transitional House.
